Re: Epson R2400 vs 1280 w/ MIS inks

2005-12-29 by Bob Michaels

I don't believe MIS has any MISPRO profiles available for download.
Just spend $40 and have one made. I got mine from Cathysprofiles.com
and am very happy with all the profiles she has made for me.

I cannot explain why some like Mark have clogging problems with 1280's
and pigment and I have not using them for 4 years. It does appear that
after a few years they either need major cleaning or replacement when
using pigments. It's the price that makes them attractive, cost of
ownership is about $100 a year. And prints that look about the same.
No question the 2400 is a better printer. It should be for the price.

I'm contemplating yet another 1280 vs paying the price for a 2400.
