David, glad to hear it's getting better. Be sure to push the CIS cart back in *firmly*. "with as much force as it takes to lift the printer from one corner" as stated by NMC support. You might also want to let it sit afterwards for a while incase any air got in. I haven't tried printing b&w with the MIS pigs. I have a dedicated 1280 w/ MIS VM inks (and Paul's curves) for b&w printing. Which, by the way, makes great prints. I'm also going to have Tobie create a profile for the MIS pigs but I'm still trying to pick a paper ..not getting great results w/ Museo. I've got a post comming up about that soon. -Daniel --- daschkenas@... wrote: > Daniel, thanks for the advice, I looked at your > posted problem, mine isn't nearly as wide of a > spray, but its still noticeable. > Just tried what you said, pulled the carts and > reseated them, switched tyhe paper to 0. > Wow, it lookd like 90% of the problem is fixed. > I'm going to try a few more cleaning cycles to see > if it clears it up completely. > Are you getting neutral b&w with the MIS pigs. > I had CDTobie make profikes for me, but I still > couldn't come close to the look of the dyes, no > posterization, extremely rich blacks, smooth tonal > gradations. > How are your b&w prints looking? > Thanks again for the cure. > David > > __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
