Tom, I've sent LARGE digital files to my brother on the US left coast, beats post, but still takes ages, even with DSL on both ends. Beats the post for speed. I'd still rather deal with a "local" printer, if I needed something printed that's likely to cost me what anything larger than I can print here would. I have no doubts that Cone Editions could do a fine job, but if it doesn't look how I want it to look, we've both got a problem.
