Just wanted to follow up on this. I retested the Innova smooth cotton, and found that it holds up well in cold water. If you use hot water it doesn't last much longer than it takes the paper to become completely saturated, with the coating breaking away. Museo Max did OK under cold water, but it gets very slimy, and the coating slides off completely where you touch the paper. Under hot water it produces a slight foaming in the sink, then the coating starts to break off much like the Innova papers. Hahnemuhle Photo Rag Satin survived several minutes under hot water, long enought to become completely limp in all dimensions. It's drying now to see what the surface looks like after the test. I suspect it will survive nicely like the other Hahnemuhle papers I've tested under hot water. I also find that the Museo Max is only slightly less fragile than other papers, it seems to scuff about as easily as the others, but it doesn't show the signs as badly. I wouldn't suggest it for postal use due to the water resistance. It gets slimy immediately, and I think it might "glue" itself to other mail if it were to get wet.
