Re: Add MIS 2400 color cartridges 1 by 1 as the Epson OEM carts expire ?

2006-01-11 by ferdinand_paris

I was wondering much the same thing for the 2200. I still have good
stocks of some of the slow-to-use colours (I bought a job lot of carts
in a poorly thought-through combination). When MIS finally get around
to releasing spongeless carts for the 2100, I will start with using
their carts for light magenta, light black, matte black etc. I print
both colour and B&W (yes I know that this is a B&W group), and would
prefer not to have to buy new profiles and/or re-linearise each time I
switch to MIS on one more cart.

In people's experience, how close are the MIS UC-equivalent inks to
Epson? Are they close enough to use Epson profiles and QTR curves for
Epson inks on standard papers for non-critical work?
