Thanks in advance! > Peter; It can be both, but generally when speaking of Hahnemuhle, it's small specks of the coating that are coming off. This is not as big a problem as it sounds. As mentioned above brushing each sheet eliminates the flaking. The times it doesn't, I just touch-up with UC I've stored away in jars.
