Not really an issue on the 2400, which uses three dilutions of fairly neutral blacks (K, LK, and LLK) and has drivers set up to "lean" very heavily on the blacks when printing any neutral or near neutral color, even in its color modes. It uses only enough colored inks to "tint" the neutrals. Steve Kale's answer, about using the Epson ABW (advanced B&W) mode is the correct one. This mode makes neutral B&W easier than driving the printer's color mode through PhotoShop or other printing software.
