First off, my sincerest gratitude to the founders of this group. Reading my buns off and there's plenty of good info to be had, but nothing touching on my question. I have a Canon iP6000D. This is a quick and reliable printer for color photos and standard printing tasks. However, it's not worth a penny as a B&W printer, casting heavily. I attempted to BO it and got a print that did not reflect the gray areas of my neg. Not bad, and my son had a blast coloring them, but they're not suitable for sale or display. Question 1 - Clayton, or others... have you any knowledge of Canon printers and whether or not they can be made to work as black-only with good results? Question 2 - My preferred print-stock is Ilford Smooth Fine Art rags. If I go with a C86 (non-BO, full grey-set from MIS), should this be a problem? Thanks, and I await your advice with bated breath.
