Have set up the R200 & Media Street Inks. I have just loaded Media Street Quadtone Inks and a new/refurbished Epson R200 as well as the Quadtone RIP software. Per Media Street, I then loaded the standard Epson Drivers. When using the normal PhotoShop print routine the Epson gives a message that the wrong ink cartridges are installed. In running the RIP program, it recognizes the R200, but the print button is not highlighted so it will not print. What is missing? As an aside, I am not at all impressed with the customer support from media street. How does their quad tone offering compare with others in image quality, such as those by Cone? I want to get this one working and a clear understanding of the tradeoffs in "systems" before purchasing just another printer and ink set. Obviously, the quadtone name is widely used and I would expect considerable differences between the Media Street quadtones and those of the Piezo/Platinum/Metallic quadtones such as Cone's, OR NOT?? So, my objective is to first get this sytem up and working and then make the step up to the next level. This is something of a learning curve and I am experiencing some confusion with the marketing verbiage. Clarence W.
