Re: [Digital BW] R200, Media Street Quadtone Inks, Quad RIP

2006-02-14 by Michael Vendrell

Clarence, I have been quite pleased with Paul Roark's
UT-R2 (Warm) set for my R220. It is available from MIS
and so-far they have been OK for me. It is pure
Carbon, just the right amount of warmth (for me) on
HPR and it prints very well with Paul's ICC profiles.
I don't think the profiles will work with the R200,
but the ink-set will, I believe. If I understand
correctly, this set uses 3 dilutions of Carbon in 6
positions with either Eboni or PK in the Black
position and to my eye it is almost as smooth as
Cone's NK7 in my 2200. I wasn't aware Cone makes the
NK6 ink-set for the R200, but maybe I'm not
up-to-date, or you can fill your own...Michael
