Elsie - Perhaps a dab of GE silicone bathroom caulk across the top of the hole? I have been lucky so far and haven't had to put it to the test, but its what I had planned to try when I finally do lose a plug. It seals well, but peels off fairly easily. Seems like I've also seen something about using the glue from a low-temperature hot glue gun.
