Wait for The Photo Marketing Association Convention & Trade Show (PMA)
which opens in Orlando,Fla on February 26. Usually that's a good time
for mfg's to annonce new products.

Another large event where new products are annonced in the imaging
world is Photokina which opens on sept. 26th in Cologne, Germany.

I doubt that the new generation of printers you're talking about would
be annonced before Photokina.
