Michael,

The stepping motor that moves the film holder during scanning (rather
than at other times) only has a throw of about 90 mm - I'm not sure of
the exact length - so you can't physically scan anything longer than
that in a single scan.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
