I've only seen beta samples of Silver Rag - hopefully we'll be getting some more next week. The Innova paper is smoother and has less of a fibrous texture than the beta SR. None of them are indistinguishable from air dried fibre glossy. Close, but not indistinguishable. By and large, the silver gelatin papers I'm familiar with are smoother than these inkjet papers, and there is that subtle difference caused by the image sitting in the gelatin rather than on the surface. There is one noticeable difference - D-max and density range. The inkjet papers do have a greater density range than air dried silver gelatin prints, but it takes good illumination to see detail in density of 2.3 to 2.5. Personally, I'm not too bothered about an exact match - I'm more interested in a glossy or near glossy paper that is an alternative to the RC look. That's not because I dislike the RC look, I'd just like some choice.
