Re: 1160 clog question

2006-02-26 by mark_roth_505

First I used empty clear spongeless carts filled with regular windex,
ran several cleaning cycles. Then I removed the carts, filled up a
syringe w/windex, and attached a 1/2 inch long piece of small flexible
clear tubing, and injected the windex down through the posts above the
heads. Not too much pressure, but enough to force out the clog. Place a
folded up paper towel underneath the heads to avoid a mess. Then I
replaced the carts w/UT ink and it worked fine after that. Before all
this the magenta head was totally clogged.

(This whole procedure is explained somewhere else on this board from a
couple years ago, don't remember the specifics...should come up on a
comprehensive search.)
