Hi Trotteur: I have this machine, and it does good scans. However, I use Vuescan instead of the Dimage software. There were problems with the usb connectivity every time I used the scanner and that software (OSX). I though Vuescan did a better job anyways, and I already had it. Vuescan, unlike a certain German scanning software, allows one to use more than one scanner with it's software, and has unlimited free upgrades! I mostly scan slides and they are generally on colour. Colour negatives are ok colour wise but display a lot of grain. Since I've got a digital camera, it's use has been declining.
