I think you will be rather surprised by the quality of the Epson 7800 driver
both in colour mode and advanced B&W mode.  Start there and if your needs
aren't satisfied then and only then look at other options.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
