Re: [Digital BW] ( OT Plug?) High Seirra Camp & Workshop

Hello Steve,

>The Canon 1DsII batteries will last through that time easily...

My Canon uses the BP-511a at 1390 mha. I think the idsII uses the
same or similar battery, as do many of the Canon DSLRs. It is indeed
a good quality battery. However, regardless of which battery is used
in a given camera, my experience has shown that how long a battery
lasts is directly related to how many pictures one takes and how much
the view screen is used. I don't think it is a stretch to suggest
that more than one charge would be required during a week of busy
shooting during a photo expedition, especially in such an image rich
area as the High Sierras.

I imagine it would also be very tempting to want to review each day's
work. Even if all viewing is done on an off-load storage device,
batteries are required for that. I would consider it sheer folly to
pay travel expenses and workshop fees for a relatively rare and
week-long opportunity like that and only take one or even two
batteries for whatever devices are used.

Regards,
Clayton
