Hello Art, >With that said, I have been reading past questions and I was shocked >to see that one of the members (around March 21st ) was mentioning >that the results of his BO prints from his 220 showed better results >than the 2400 with its mulitple inks! > >I have been getting ready to go down and get the 2400 but now I am >totally second guessing this. IF the 220 gives 4x6 through 8x10 top >quality why spend the extra money unless you are going over 8x10? It really depends on how you define "better results". BO prints have some qualities that many feel are superior to full ink prints, but also one major shortcoming that disqualifies it for many. In my experience it's great for some images and poor for others. By installing the full R2 inkset in the 220 you can have both BO and full ink printing. However, the plot thickens when the 2400 enters the scene. Not only does it do bigger prints, its full ink prints are superior (IMO) to those produced by R220/R2, plus it allows a wider range of color tones. So it's not such a simple answer. I hope this helps. Regards, Clayton Info on black and white digital printing at http://www.cjcom.net/digiprnarts.htm
