I'm assuming you are using the PK ink. I'm printing on Kirkland using QTR with a 2200 loaded with PKN and MIS Pro light black. I haven't seen any bronzing -- even when I've increased black boost in the profile, as well as moving the slider to deepen blacks/shadows. I've also printed on Kirkland using QTR via Qimage's "Print to file". I used the QTR gray lab profile and got good results -- no bronzing or artifacts. I would speculate that MIS PK might be a bit more given to bronzing than the PKN but not enough to create the problems you described. If you haven't already, I suggest you try printing directly through QTR to make certain that you haven't inadvertantly loaded an Eboni cart into the black position. Also -- just to see what happens -- you could process the file through Qimage as a grayscale and convert the resulting Print to File file from rgb to QTR's photo black profile.
