You should give Bostick & Sullivan, a call in Santa Fe, NM at 505-474- 0890. They are one of the best suppliers of Pt/Pd and other alt. supplies out there. You want to ask for Kevin Sullivan. He will talk to you as long as you want, and answer all your questions. I am fortunate enough to live just up the road from their office here in Santa Fe, and he really helped me tremendously in the beginning, but I understand Kevin is helpful to all who call him. The one thing you need to get is a dedicated printer for dye inks, because pigment inks do not stick to the Pictorico clear film for making digital negatives. I would get an Epson R220 for this purpose. It takes a lot of trial/error and testing, and keeping notes, but once you get a formula figured out for your own ink/printer/lighting exposure system, you'll be making really nice Pt/Pd prints on a consistent basis, without a darkroom. Good luck. --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, G Guhan Gunaratnam <guruguhan@...> wrote: > > Hello, > > I know this is a little OT, but not completely, so I was hoping someone > might want to chime in if they have experience making digital negs with an > inkjet/imagesetter and then making platinum prints with them. > > Please let me know on/off the board.
