Bowhaus is doing some very interesting things with their rip.  Yes it's possible to print on 
glossy paper with Matte ink installed using IJC/OPM.

You are limited with printing B+W and toned B+W however.

IJC uses the Light Black, Light Light Black, Light Cyan and Light Magenta. Dmax is not as high 
as using Photo Black but dmax isn't everything. I just started building profiles with IJC so I'll 
get back to you on the dmax with Matte ink installed.
