Digital BW, The Print

This evening I needed to do some color printing so I removed the MIS FS inks from my 7000 and inserted the Epson Color Dyes. I never used the ImagePrint 4 RIP with the Epson inks so I figured I would give it a shot.

I loaded a sheet of William Turner into the printer, opened ImagePrint 4, loaded a grayscale tif file and selected the Epson Heavyweight Mat paper profile. This was the only profile that came close to the paper I was using. 

I printed a small image and was blown away. Neutral grayscale with no color crossover. I could not believe it. So I printed it again, this time 16x20 so I could see if there were slight crossover areas. Again none.

I am in shock. Like what's up with that! Everyone says it can not be done.
