Mike, >... 7000 and ... Epson Color Dyes. ... >ImagePrint 4, loaded a grayscale tif file ... >I printed a small image and was blown away. Neutral grayscale >with no color crossover. ... >I am in shock. Like what's up with that! Everyone says it can not be done. Sounds like they've done a good job. I thought I had Generations color pigs controlled for a while also. However, with my experiment it didn't last. Weeks later the prints didn't look good at all. Also, my 1160 couldn't print consistently enough to hold the neutral profile I'd come up with. (I expect a 7000 might be more consistent than the 1160.) Let us know how they look in different light sources and after a few days in the sun. I have no doubt that ultimately the color inksets will be so good that's what we'll be using. I'd be surprised if that day is here for those wanting to do long-lasting B&Ws. Paul
