I also think the Canon G2 is great. A real possibility of replacing 35mm film in a quality camera that can point and shoot in auto or manual mode (which is slower/less intuitive than conventional SLR at this point). Had it about 2.5 months. Have used the movie mode, macro, landscape, portrait, panoramic (& stitch) all with great ease. The wide angle lens arrived today. While I don't like that the tube adapter is plastic (LA-DC58) the lens itself is a nice looking piece of glass (WC-DC58). Makes for about a 28mm without resorting to the stitch mode.
