These things are so "mass produced", it's amazing the quality they deliver out of the box. I had a 4-color Stylus color 900 that lasted for 6 years and thousands of prints. The one just before that lasted one and a half years, again, many thousands of prints. I have 3-Epson 9000's, that I overhaul myself, putting in new print heads on average every year to 1.5 years. These beast are made like a tank, and probably will print forever, with proper care! Pigmented inks seem to wear the print heads faster than the dye inks. John Nollendorfs
