More control, not less, is what I'm after. > Every one will need to prepare the curves-profiles by himself ... ? No, once I and others have had the time to make the curves and ICCs, they'll work on others' printers as well as any canned profile. However, I recommend people buy and learn how to use Roy's Create ICC program. Once they have that, then the curves I've made will be able to be put inside the ICC and the ICC matched to the particular printer and paper. So, it will allow everyone to more accurately linearize their systems than the use of any canned profile or curve allows. ... > For preparing a profile is enought a scanner > or I will need something more? I think the ColorVision Print Fix Pro is currently the most cost effective, really good system. It's about $500. A scanner can be used, but it's a compromise. > The system will work with the standard epson driver or with a RIP? I'm making curves for the Epson driver. RIPs will, of course, work fine as long as the user knows how to profile with one. Actually, the LK in k2 printers is rather a waste in B&W systems. I might at some point move to a rip for the k2s so that I can use another ink there. MIS now has the inkset up on its web site at http://www.inksupply.com/ut_3d.cfm Paul www.PaulRoark.com
