Re: [Digital BW] Museo Silver Rag Epson 1280?

2006-05-15 by Edward Wiseman

Hi..

I haven't used Silver Rag with Paul's curves as of yet, but I have tried
it with QTR, and with both MIS PK and with MIS Eboni, and I actually prefer
the results wit the Eboni....Once dried overnight, BOTH are sprayed with
PREMIER ART SHIELD (2 light coats)..The results IMHO have been STUNNING with
this inkset and the 1280..BTW, I'm using the spongeless carts with a "few"
problems, but MIS has been very helpful in getting things to work as
designed..It is important also that you CALL them if you have an issue..I
think emails more often than not got the the "back burner"..
There are BETTER and NEWER printers out there by Epson and others, but
this is the most "cost effective" solution for LONG lasting B&W prints with
results than MANY of us were not able to effectively produce in the old
"WET" darkroom..

I think the paper was made for pk only. That's what I have used and have
gotten very nice results. It's all I have printed for weeks.

I would like to try the new Silver Rag with my Epson 1280 and UT2 inks
and wanted to find out what others are using. Does this paper work
well with the Eboni black or do you need the PK?

Thank you.
