Here is a shocker!

A few weeks ago I posted a test that I was carrying out with two
full prints taped in a window in full sunlight. Both prints were on
Pictorico Gallery Glossy paper and printed on my Epson 2200. One was
printed with Epson OEM ink using all colours and the other with
Nanochrome ink, also with all colours. Both had portions blocked off
by thick black paper in order to make any fading more obvious. Up
until the end of week three, last Thursday, there was no visible
fading in either print. However, when I checked them today, the
print with Epson OEM ink showed quite noticeable fading. The
Nanochrome print showed no sign of fading at all. I know this flies
in the face of all we believe about pigment vs dye inks. But maybe
the Nanochrome dye ink encapsuled in resin is more resistant to
fading than we thought.

I must say that I have no axe to grind here and no connection
whatsoever with either manufacturer or distributor. This is as much
a surprise to me as it may be to others. Has anyone else tested
Nanochrome inks for fading? I would appreciate input from others who
know of test results.
