I have had an MIS CFS on my C84 for about 2 years (EZ inks) and at times I have gone WEEKS without printing anything. Usually it fires up just fine with nothing more than its turn-on routine, sometimes I have to do a nozzle check and cleaning. I only print on matte papers, and only having to change the bottles once or twice a year is a real joy. With a printer of this size and price, if I were planning to print on glossy I'd probably just get a second one and set it up for that. If I had a larger, more capable printer, I can understand the utility of being able to swap matte and glossy cartridges. But I have another printer that I refill cartridges for (Canon - no chips, VERY simple fill process) and I DO like not having to do that with my C84.
