I have MIS CFS setups in 3 printers - a 7600, R200, and C86. Sometimes days
go by and I don't use one or another of the printers. I do a nozzle check -
and maybe a couple of cleanings is necessary, but nothing more serious. I
find MIS to be very responsive to cries for help and always eager to make things
right. (No, we're not related, and they don't pay me to say nice things).

Thankyou Arlene, thats very encouraging and thanks for your input (
Clayton also ), do you happen to know the difference in cost of
refilling the cartridges as opposed to the CFS system?

Also I am curious, what is the result of printing matte ink on lustre
paper ? Anybody Know ?

Thanks again

Mick

I have had an MIS CFS on my C84 for about 2 years (EZ inks) and at times
I have gone WEEKS without printing anything. Usually it fires up just
fine with nothing more than its turn-on routine, sometimes I have to do
a nozzle check and cleaning. I only print on matte papers, and only
having to change the bottles once or twice a year is a real joy. With a
printer of this size and price, if I were planning to print on glossy
I'd probably just get a second one and set it up for that. If I had a
larger, more capable printer, I can understand the utility of being able
to swap matte and glossy cartridges. But I have another printer that I
refill cartridges for (Canon - no chips, VERY simple fill process) and I
DO like not having to do that with my C84.

Cheers,
Kip
