I don't see the iPF5000 listed as supported by gutenprint, but since gutenprint is open-source, I wouldn't be surprised if it were supported someday. But it would probably also take quite a bit of QTR tweaking to make it work, and that's not so likely because few people (relative to the universe of gutenprint users) are interested and knowledgeable enough.
