In the earliest years of all this, it was really one of the only papers we could use. There was only one inkset, MIS quads, and only one printer they could be used in, the 3000. There was no 1160 at the time, or larger formats. Concorde Rag was really the first coated paper many of us played with, the Hannaburger papers were not even out yet, some were introduced under the Luminos label but HPR didn't exist yet, nor WillTurner, what was later German Etching (Lysonic Fine Art, etc..) was too thick for our 3000s to advance acurately though we were dying to use it becuae of the superior coating/image quality. Somerset Enhanced came out shortly as an alternative, but for a short while it was Concorde or uncoated Somerset. I used MIS, Lysonic quads (even cold), the first Piezography, and some color as well, on Concorde and the prints were always nice. Rest in peace for sure, but a viable warm paper would be nice to have, more for a fine art paper than a faux silver paper. Tyler
