I think Nikon Capture > is one of those that requires profiles to be installed. > I think there are a number of issues that are confusing the situation. 1) as mentioned before the right-click install doesn't work. I'm pretty sure just moving the .icc file to the correct folder is sufficient. 2) there are two names associated with an icc profile. There's the filename and there's an internal name which is set when the profile is made. PS always shows the internal name so changing the filename has no effect on what you see in PS. To get different names rename the original data file with your desired name and then create the icc -- the internal name will have that name prepended with "QTR_". 3) in the PS pulldowns the profiles are grouped by type. Mostly they are going to be RGB profiles, so you'll see them all alphabetically. Gray profiles are all shown way at the bottom so you have to scroll all the way down to see them. Since the names all have "QTR" in front there'll be an RGB section of QTR .icc profiles and a separate grayscale section of QTR .icc profiles I'm not sure what Nikon Capture does but I'd guess something similar to PS. If this still causes trouble let me know. I can try and track this down. Roy
