Steve, I forgot to tell you, you MUST sharpen your D-30 images. they can take a LOT of sharpening before any artifacts begin to show. This of course is true of all digital cameras in this price range. Best sharpener I've seen yet is KPT's Equalizer sharpen tool that comes with version 6 of KPT'S Power Tools. Use the Boundary sharpen portion, not the equalizer. Very easy to do. Johnny Deadman also has a set that is about as good.
