I don't have a 1270, but a 1280. I have been very happy with the UT2 inkset 
on a variety of matt paper using Epson driver, Black Only, and lately 
Quadtone RIP. You can get beautiful stuff out. I do not believe the 1270 
would be much different than the 1280, but your mileage may vary.

Since I have to do color some times, I just picked up a 2200 for $275. A 
lot of people are upgrading to the 2400/4800 so there are some good 
bargains there.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
