Hi Kevin:
I don't know whether it's the right answer in your case but for me, the most
common cause of NOT getting a paper choice listed for which I KNOW I have
loaded a profile is not having the right ink in the machine.
If I have the PK black ink loaded, matte papers will not show up. When I
load the matte black (MK) ink, all the matte papers (including Velvet) show
up.
Hope this helps...
Bert

Thanks for the reply Gary.

And, yes, I realize that I've got a lot of learning to do yet.

When I started BO printing with my 1280 I learned by reading
Clayton's website, and discussing matters via E-mail with Jim Arnold
and others. I also learned by trial and error and referencing other
written materials.

However, if I can get a quick reply from someone else that already
knows the answer, I'll take it any day over hammering through pages
of written literature (much of which leaves out important details),
or the trial and error of running the same test print 50 times. I
have 3 young kids and not a whole lot of time! And let's face it,
different people learn in different ways. Some people have an
aptitude for tinkering and learning on their own, while others learn
better through collaboration and bouncing ideas and questions off one
another.even simple, seemingly stupid questions.

Any way, do you have any idea as to why I can not choose "Velvet Fine
Art Paper" in my Print Setup? I'm quite sure that I downloaded and
installed the Fine Art Papers Matte ICC profiles from here:

cookies=no&oid=59082651

But maybe I need to find these somewhere else and move them to
another folder so they show up in the Epson Driver? I'm not sure.

By the way, I browsed your Pbase images and was very impressed. You
certainly seem to be dedicated to your B&W.

Regards,

Kevin
