>... are the UT7 inks very similar to the UT2 inks Yes, but the C and M channels are switched, and the toner is slightly lower gamut. The UT2 carbon inks (M and LM) are exactly the same as the UT7 carbons (C and LC). The sepia toners are identical, as are the black inks. So, the only old UT2 ink you will not be able to use is the cool toner, UT2 C and LC. > and do you know if their are any curves for EEM for the 4000, Dirk Hobman made some curves. Today I'd put the curves into ICCs. See http://home1.gte.net/res09aij/Embedding_Photoshop_Curves_in_ICCs.pdf That takes a lot of work out of the job by taking care of the final linearization. With the linearization taken care of, it may be that curves for the 2200 or 7600 and UT7 are close enough to just dump into the ICCs. I have not tried this, but it would be one experiment I'd definitely do to see if there were, as a practical matter, a number of curves already made. Good luck with the system. Paul www.PaulRoark.com
