Hello Julie, I also use MIS UT2 inks with my Epson 1280 on -- in my case -- Crane's Museo Silver Rag. I had the same problems you had until I switched from Eboni black to Photo Black ink. Now my prints are beautiful! The Eboni black might not be compatible with your paper. All the best, Craig Roberts Washington, DC
