Actually with it being set up for gloss optimizer, it might be a terrific glossy paper printer with the right inkset and the Epson driver. However, I'm not sure there is a B&W inkset that is set up for it that can print on glossy paper. Not all inksets can. I have not used Piezo inks lately, but I believe Piezo inks may be matte paper compatible only. (I would also not use the R1800 color inkset to try to print B&W.) Paul www.PaulRoark.com
