If the paper is too stiff, it can cause strikes near the ends, clogging the 
heads, on a paper path that isn't straight. If its too thick, it can cause 
headstrikes as well. And if its too heavily textured, the high spots can cause 
headstrikes. Any way they happen the strikes can put stuff on the heads, and 
cause problems. It may continue happening on other media afterwards, if there is a 
deposit on the heads. If it only happens with that paper, then you got lucky 
and have no retained deposits on the heads, or its something else: like an 
incompatible paper, or a paper that does not feed properly in your printer.
