Digital BW, The Print

I have been happily working with QTR for over a year.  In spite of creating a 
beautiful 100 step gray scale and optimizing color management, bringing 
images in from Flexcolor and immendiately converting to Harrington's 
gray.LAB always pushed my highlights higher and compressed the range 
from 90-100%.  Recently, I discovered that making all my photoshop 
corrections in the orginal flexcolor-gray.icm before I converted to gray.LAB 
retained the original scanned desities.  The problem with blocking highlights 
and compressed shadows resovled itself.  Has any else had a experience?
