MIS Eboni ink is for matte papers only. They make a different EZ black ink for glossy (the other inks are the same for both matte and glossy, and you have a choice between neutral and warm.) I thought the MIS web site was pretty clear on this distinction between their inks. If you're trying Eboni on glossy surfaces you should expect poor results. I'd suggest you change ink (or paper) before you go looking for problems in your workflow. In my experience, Eboni produces wonderful results on a wide variety of matte papers.
