Yes, be sure you're using Photo Black ("PK") with Kirkland glossy paper.  I
prefer the PKN, which is a neutralized PK that gives a higher dmax.  MIS
only seems to sell the one I mixed specifically for the C8X in bulk from
http://www.inksupply.com/bw/roarkslab.  Actually, my favorite PK is Epson UC
PK.  This is best bought in a large format 7600 cart and must be drained and
re-loaded into an MIS empty cart.
