The only way to get a useful answer to this question is to spring for a 
drum scan from a good operator.  You probably want a place with the 
Aztek Premier or other current scanner.  You might even try asking Aztek 
to do a sample scan for you.  That way you know that you'll get a good 
scan.  Then compare the print you can make with the drum scan to one 
made of the same negative with your Epson.
