At one time ImagePrint caused a great deal of excitement by having prebuilt
settings allowing users to print black and white with minimal color, and no
yellow at all, so that metamerism (color shifting under differing lighting
conditions) was reduced. But once other options (including the 2400's own abilities
to minimize color ink) were available, the rather high price of ImagePrint,
and some users feeling that the look on B&W prints was kind of mechanical, made
for far less enthusiasm about it. I haven't heard anyone recommending it as a
B&W solution for quite some time now, though there are still plenty of people
who own it who are using it for that.
