Re: banding despite clear nozzle check

2006-11-22 by Chris Ellis

Hi Richard

I just had a banding problem on an R220 when printing on heavy stock
(HPR 308). Nozzle checks were fine and printing on EAM didn't show
banding.

It turned out that I needed to realign the heads (using the
maintenance function supplied with the printer drivers) for a thicker
paper.

I didn't manage to completely remove the banding from the HPR prints
but it's much less pronounced and quite difficult to see.

(I realise this is a completely different printer, but might help you
solve your problems.)

Good luck

Chris
