Digital BW, The Print

Hi Folks,

This is somewhat off topic but I'd like to hear an easy method to
print a portion of an image.  I have a file that I'd like to print to
a size of 16 X 16.  Right now my file is 5560 x 5560 pixels so I can
print it to the 16" square at 347 dpi.  I only have a 2200 so I know
I'll have to farm it oout but I'd like to see what the central portion
will look like before I spend the money.

Do I just crop it and make sure that it is at 347dpi and send that to
my printer?  I've been working too hard and I can't seem to think this
through properly.
