Hi Barbara, >Transitioning my printing from 1280 UT2 to 2200 UT7 and >would like to use all the ink on hand to best advantage. >I understand that the UT2 yellow is the same for UT7; Yes, the sepia ink is the same. > likewise the UT2 light magenta = UT7 light cyan and > UT2 magenta = UT7 cyan. Yes, the carbon inks are the same, but in different locations. >I am left with two full bottles of UT2 cyan and UT2 light cyan. >My question ----- is there a use for these two inks? No. Reducing the cost of moving from one printer to the next is now one of the goals, but it really was not on the radar at the time those inksets were made. Dump, sell or use????? Sell if you can. (As to the 2400, push the ink change button, the head moves to the left, pull the plug, put in a new cart, plug it back in, and the head just moves over to the right with, I believe, a minimum of ink lost.)
