I guess they can be turned off in the firmware but by that you 
loose any information on the content used.

Anyway if Mediastreet asks me to specify the 10000 model I use 
and the carts I get have 10000CF labels on them, I expect they 
work on the 10000CF.  Whether with a chip that says always 
full or one that can be reset. They do not.

BTW, I do not know what you actually want to change on the 
carts but there's an instruction somewhere in the wide format 
list messages how to change the 10000 from dye to pigment and 
the opposite. Service mode thing.
